Conference BALKAN CINEMA MEETING will be held at hotel Mostar on 17th of November, as a part of Business segment of 11th Mostar Film Festival. The Festivals team will be organizer of all activities related to the conference realization.  The conference will be implemented in cooperation and with a support of Association of film Industry (member of AGICOA and carrier of licenses for collective rights management for cable re-transmission of audio-visual  work in BiH). 

The idea of the conference is to bring together relevant people from all segments of the film industry of the region, namely the representatives of all the major production companies, distributors and screenwriters at the one hand, and at the other hand the leading people of legitimate institutions for collecting collective rights from the region representatives of associations or individual cable operators, telecommunications companies, IPTV providers and representatives of public TV services and world TV networks from the region.

The Film Industry Association is an independent, nonpolitical nongovernmental association. The UFI Association aims to achieve collective and related rights in accordance with the law, as well as to protect the status and promote the interests and objectives of the copyright protection of association members. The association advocates suppressing all unlawful actions when it comes to copyrights and related rights. The association also provides assistance in concluding contracts relating to the transfer of copyrights.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a member of the program since 2013 and in this lesson you will find out more about the application conditions, deadlines and positive examples from BiH and the region. The lecture will be held by Zoran Galić, head of MEDIA Desk B&H, and it's intended for film productions, distributors, representatives of film festivals and educational institutions.
